In Short:

We are committed to creating clean, nourishing minimal ingredient, non toxic products. 

In Full: Us is a very loose term when it comes to small businesses. 

"About Us" sounds better than "about me". But let's be honest. It's just me. Let's not forget those key friends who have had a lot of samples thrown their way to test, all the discussions we have had about scent, the fine line between dewy and oily, and the endless conversations about logos. "Us" also very much includes my husband who puts up with me taking over the kitchen, the spare room (that part, I don't feel bad about. It smells like a luxury spa now!), and holds the camera as I hand pour dozens of bars.

So. How did we get here? (Yes I will continue to use "we", just play along...). About 8years ago I developed contact dermatitis. Everything from my bra to carrying a file folder would leave red itchy welts. Aside from how it looked, I spent so many hours pretending I wasn't absolutely on fire with hives. I'd sit (aka exist) through dinners, in person conversations, LIFE in general...pretending I didn't want to rub a scouring pad all over my body. I eventually realized one of the main culprits was artificial fragrance. It's in everything. Even candles can still set me off.  I'll spare you the details, I've done a lot of research but this does not make me a dermatologist;  though I'd invite you to do your own research on fragrance and hormone disruptors. Cut to: sourcing raw ingredients and making my own oils, and eventually body bars. Knowing exactly what I put on my skin is key to soft, hydrated, nourished skin.  

Every ingredient is sourced to the best of my ability via fair trade, sustainable sources. Organic and or unrefined whenever possible. Ingredients are weighed, melted and poured by hand. Goods are packaged by hand in reusable and recyclable containers. Our products aren't made, stored or shipped in plastic. Glass, stainless steel, food grade silicone and cotton are all they know. Since this is a safe place, I only perform tasks involving the product on good days. It's a business but more importantly, I believe energy is contagious. And I believe we could all use all the good vibes.
